Once upon a time that was not very long ago, I sketched Perdita and stuck it in my scraps.
Perdita is Celeste and Esperanza's mother. She and Cesar divorced when the girls were young, and, under threat of having social workers being called to her cult-like youth camp, she gave him sole custody. When he died (cancerous tumor in his brain) the girls were moved to Perdita's property, and Celeste began training with the other teenage witches.
So none of that was really important. What I wanted to say was actually this.
<da:thumb id="445069691"/> Oh!
<da:thumb id="445072933"/> Hello, beautiful.
<da:thumb id="445083385"/> Where have you been all my life?
<da:thumb id="445084496"/>Guuuuurl.
<da:thumb id="445058504"/>
Anyway, Edjnr continues to shock and amaze me. It's such a strange sensation to see these amazing pictures and realize that under all of that amazing there's just some little sketch from my scraps. It's like Ed sees what I'm trying to do, and he knows how to make that happen. It's so lovely to see this flat little sketch suddenly jump out, and shapes to appear in the lines. (Boobs. Also, that lovely shading part on her belly that I just want to asdl;fjas;ldfjasdl holy crap, I'm attracted to Celeste's evil mother.)
Thank you, Edjnr!

I Have a New Favorite Picture
New favorite picture. Thank you, Edjnr (https://www.deviantart.com/edjnr) You are the best in the entire universe and I want this to sit here so I can stare at it lovingly.
...Maybe I'll put that logo andehpinkard (https://www.deviantart.com/andehpinkard) made for me over this. Holy shit, I love it.
Hey guys?
It somehow got even better.
No, no, I mean even better.
I am super inspired now. Seriously, this re-ignites my passion for drawing and writing for this character. Yes, yes, yes, YES!
Thank you, Edjnr (https://www.deviantart.com/edjnr), thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
I'm going to show you something beautiful...
Seriously, this isn't an Ultron impersonation. I'm really going to show you something beautiful.
It starts with a Celeste sketch that I did.
And then it gets... amazing. Thanks, of course, to the incredible work of Edjnr (https://www.deviantart.com/edjnr). Seriously.
She's got leeeeegs. She knows how to use them.
Oh right. Sometimes my lines are a liiiiiiittle messy. =P Thankfully, Edjnr (https://www.deviantart.com/edjnr) to the rescue!
omg her beautiful face o_o
Uh-oh, time to fix that hand! (So I can't draw hands, so what?)
Inking continues! God, this is so gorgeous. I could literally watch this for hours, just zoning out on it.
Oh man, that SKIN. It's PERFECT.
You can see how delicately Ed

The Year of Art in Review
January:
I finally, successfully drew feet.
And a hand holding a gun.
And I started forcing myself to (very hesitantly) play with lighting.
Really, I made some pictures I was very proud of in that month.
February:
I really started experimenting with my shading, and digital painting. Using dark purples on a multiply layer set at a low opacity gave me some really n ice shadows.
It became important to me that I try to get out of the habit of my static, re-used poses.
March:
I started really focusing on complimenting shades in backgrounds and playing with the effectiveness of representing light and color in ea
